Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, Which Injectable Filler is Right For Me?

What is the Difference between Botox & Dysport? From your Maryland Cosmetic Surgeon

Excessive weight loss for women often requires removal of skin on the arms and legs as performed by Dr.Dean Kane, plastic surgeon of Baltimore Maryland.

Women who loose excessive weight, not only find extra skin on their abdomen, but on their arms and legs. Dr. Dean Kane, plastic surgeon of Maryland performs both arm lifts or brachioplasty and thigh lifts in his accredited operating room in his Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Baltimore.

Arm Lifts or Brachioplasty is often needed when the weight loss creates large losses of fat in the arms leaving a “bat wing” like effect. Dr. Kane performs the removal of the skin through an incision that begins under the armpit and extends on the inside of the arm to the elbow. Liposuction is often used on the outer part of the arm to remove additional fullness and create a more muscular “V” taped contoured appearance. Dr. Kane performs Leg Lifts in two approaches depending on how much draping of the skin exists along the upper thighs. The simple approach involves strategically placing the incision or scar just along the panty line only in the groin area. The second approach involves a longer scar that would include the above groin panty line scar and then extend down the inside of the inner leg to the knee. Those patients who have excessive skin laxity and draping along the entire thighs select this more extensive surgery. Liposuction is often used to reduce any additional fullness of the legs to provide a thinner tighter effect. The Leg Lift procedures require a solid 6 weeks of recovery due to the difficult nature that every time you walk, you are putting pressure on the scars and making it harder to heal.
